Toyota is introducing the first Pris Plug-In MPG Challenge rewarding environmentally-conscious, charitable organizations in N.Y., N.J. and Conn., with contributions totaling $20,000.
The challenge consists of five separate waves of competition, each with up to eight challengers. It awards those participants garnering the highest overall MPG over the course of a 30-day period. Participants will borrow a Prius Plug-in for 30 days. To be eligible to win, challengers must drive a minimum of 500 miles total and 75 miles each week.
The highest overall MPG according to the Prius’ trip computer per 30-day challenge wins a $2,500 contribution, with second-place finisher earning $1,000 and the third-place finisher winning $500. All participating companies will also receive a $200 gas card.
