United Way Fundraiser – Giving Back

By October 26, 2010Community

On October 25th, Wilde held a United Way raffle with donations from our managers, assistant managers and area radio and TV stations.

As you may know, Milwaukee was rated one of the poorest communities in the United States, with many families going without things we may take for granted.

The United Way has ambitious goals, and we can all do our part to help.  Along with the funds raised from the United Way Raffle at our Toyota location, Wilde had several other stores raise money for the cause as well as contributions from the ownership to United Way.

  • Improve education, and cut the number of high school dropouts — 1.2 million students, every year — in half.
  • Help people achieve financial stability, and get 1.9 million working families — half the number of lower-income families who are financially unstable — on the road to economic independence.
  • Promote healthy lives, and increase by one-third the number of youth and adults who are healthy and avoid risky behaviors.
